tranquilico was founded in 2008 by Managing Director Colin McGregor to be a resource for travel firms who wanted to be world class in terms of health, safety & crisis management for clients, suppliers and staff

Managing Director Colin McGregor has more than 30 years experience in travel and has worked for three of the largest tour operators in the UK with international operations: Thomas Cook Group as Director of Quality, Health & Safety, MyTravel as Head of Health & Safety and Thomson Holidays, TUI plc as Head of Customer Operations.
Prior to setting up tranquilico.com, Colin worked in consultancy for a year, where he was involved in installing health & safety systems and crisis management procedures into a variety of international operators, notably: Ambassadors, Powder Byrne, African Safari Club, i-to-i and LastMinute.com
Colin has also spoken at various international conferences on both health & safety and crisis management for organisations such as WTO, ATTA, LATA, AITO and FTO.
Mick is a NEBOSH and IOSH Health and Safety qualified consultant and has spent over 20 years working in the travel industry, having held Health & Safety management roles working with Colin at Thomson Holidays (TUI plc), Mytravel and also Thomas Cook.
Mick brings to tranquilico, extensive experience in overseas health & safety auditing in Accommodation, Transport, Hygiene and high-risk excursion and activities as well as producing and delivering H&S training courses.
In addition, Mick has a specialism in Accommodation Gas Safety and led the industry in putting together gas safety policies and projects following the Corfu carbon monoxide incident in 2006.
Prior to joining tranquilico, Mick worked as a gas safety consultant providing gas safety audit services to housing associations and advising on overseas gas safety in holiday accommodation to travel companies.
Prior to working in travel Mick worked as a served & Gas Safe registered engineer and was a member of IGEM (Institute of Gas Engineers & Managers) and has carried out numerous gas & carbon monoxide investigations in the UK and in holiday accommodation Overseas. He brings with him hands on practicality to the firm which he joined in 2017
Consultants - we have a number of consultants we use for health & safety auditing.
Administration - We have a small team who are responsible for operating epass & other admin tasks
Finance - We are assisted by CbaSadofkys who carry out all our financial reporting
IT - we work closely with IMS for cloud based storage and support
